Polo Park North
- Winnipeg, Manitoba
- | www.cadillacfairview.com
Polo Park North, the 100,000 s.f. grocer-anchored, mixed-use expansion of Manitoba’s largest shopping centre, has been programmed with active and inviting uses. Programming quality local tenants, and animating the site in collaboration with local organizations will turn this shopping centre into a city-wide destination.
THE PLACE
The Polo Park Shopping Centre, a large, enclosed, regional mall, officially opened in 1959. Polo Park North is an 8-acre development located on the previous site of a regional arena, and is adjacent to the shopping centre. The project, owned by Cadillac Fairview, is anchored by a Silver City Theatre complex, an office building with 3 radio stations, and an Asian supermarket.
OUR FOCUS
In June 2010, LiveWorkLearnPlay was engaged by Cadillac Fairview to identify opportunities to animate Polo Park North and distinguish it from competing commercial offerings in the area. Many of the strategies proposed are currently being pursued by Cadillac Fairview. Events and animation, carts and kiosks and a selection of the “best-of-the-best” food purveyors will distinguish Polo Park North from other commercial projects in the region.
